We have established the McAuliffe CARES Program based on the
Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports Initiative,
also called the Multi-Tiered System of Supports.
This process is recognized by the Maryland Department of Education;
it focuses on improving a school's ability to teach and support positive behavior for all students. It includes procedures and processes for ALL students, ALL staff, in ALL settings.
PBIS is a team-based process for systematic problem solving, planning and evaluation.
When students meet school expectations, they will receive Care Cards!
Students may "spend" their Care Cards on grade level or whole school events.
Your child's teacher will send home information on grade level events.
Watch our webpage for information on whole school events!
